Glass-ceramic is the only material currently used as an electric cooking surface (radiant, with heating elements, or induction, via a magnetic field).
Only a few expert companies in the world have the capacity to produce glass-ceramics; the process must be perfectly mastered to provide the final product with the properties essential for the most demanding applications (thermal, mechanical, chemical, electrical, etc.).
Indeed, for use as a cooking surface for cooktops, glass-ceramics must meet a dozen major requirements, while offering an attractive, customizable aesthetic and design.
This high level of demand calls for highly specialized skills and know-how on the part of Eurokera’s experts, at every stage of the product’s life cycle.

With a staff of around twenty based in France, and supported by the research centers of our shareholders – Saint-Gobain and Corning, our teams are committed to pushing back the limits of glass-ceramics and ensuring that they meet the demands of new applications and new uses.
It took several years to develop a glass-ceramic solution that met the high standards required for a countertop and to create Versâtis.
For our teams, innovation means more than just products and technical solutions. For example, we wanted to accelerate and simplify product development on the French market by integrating the entire process: in addition to manufacturing the glass-ceramic, we assemble the entire Versâtis product, integrating in particular the cooking elements from a French partner specializing in induction.
Versâtis is entirely developed, designed and assembled by Eurokera. A 100% French technical feat.
